Google's Doodle

no o google crop circle ufo national geographic

A link embedded into the logo, took you to a Google search for the words "unexplained phenomenon."Google's twitter account tweeted 1.12.12 25.15.21.18 15 1.18.5 2.5.12.15.14.7 20.15 21.19 today. This is simple alphabetic code that stands for: "All your O are belong to us." An UFO is hijacking the "O" in this Google logo above. This is a reference to the, "All your base are belong to us." quote. According to Wikipedia, this phrase is a broken English phrase that was central to an Internet phenomenon, or meme, in 2000-2002, with the spread of a Flash animation that depicted the slogan. The text is taken from the opening cut scene of the 1991 European Sega Mega Drive version of the Japanese video game Zero Wing, by Toaplan which was poorly translated by Sega of Europe."

Google's official statement on the matter was, "We consider the second ‘o’ critical to user recognition of our brand and pronunciation of our name. We are actively looking into the mysterious tweet that has appeared on the Google twitter stream and the disappearance of the “o” on the Google homepage. We hope to have an update in the coming weeks."[1]

In Exeter, New Hampshire, the town is holding its first UFO festival, which in turn is based on the Exeter UFO sighting on September 5 in that area.

All of this plays into future Google UFO sightings. Their 11th birthday is coming up as well, a celebration that is often celebrated on various days.

Google's 11th B-Day

Today was the official Google birthday. No new Google Doodle. No new unexplained phenomenon. It is thought that this is the date that Google officially incorporated.

Back in 2006, the When is Google’s birthday? page in Google help was changed to say: "Google opened its doors in September 1998. The exact date when we celebrate our birthday has moved around over the years, depending on when people feel like having cake. For more on Google’s history: http://www.google.com/corporate/history.html".

The page no longer exists today. It is thought that the UFO hijacked that page as well.

Crop Circles Go Worldwide Overnight

crop circles google national geographic

This National Geographic video proves that the crop circle phenomenon is a man made amazing feat. If a company can build the greatest search engine of all time, I am sure that Google can make a few crop circles using GPS coordinates. I mean your GPS can get you in your car from point A to point B, do you really think that GPS cannot be used to build crop circles?

They even have a test your crop circle IQ quiz. Another article in National Geographic was titled, "CROP CIRCLES IN PICTURES: 'Alien' Signs, Ads, and More".

According to Wikipedia, on the night of July 11–12, 1992, a crop-circle making competition, for a prize of several thousand UK pounds (partly funded by the Arthur Koestler Foundation), was held in Berkshire. The winning entry was produced by three helicopter engineers, using rope, PVC pipe, a trestle and a ladder. Another competitor used a small garden roller, a plank and some rope.

Google Doodles Strike Again

google no L crop circle drawing homepage

Today is the official date that Google.com was registered. This is the second Google Doodle in the last two weeks that has featured unidentified flying objects. This time, clicking on this Google Doodle homepage drawing, took you to a search for the words "crop circles". This one shows a UFO hovering above crop circles, while what looks like a tractor is erasing the L in Google. The filename that Google named the file was Goog_e.gif. It is interesting that Google chooses to use the .GIF format. Maybe that is a hint that search engine optimizers or web designers should be using that format and not another such as .JPG?

The official Google Twitter account tweeted a set of coordinates at around 9pm on September 14, 2009. Those coordinates (51.327629, -0.5616088) appeared, which are the coordinates for a town called Horsell, near Woking, in England. This is the location where aliens landed in the story “The War of the Worlds”. This is the book that Herbert George Wells wrote.

There is buzz all over the Internet, that Google may reveal something on September 21, 2009 which would have been Welles’ 143rd birthday, so it is possible that they will reveal what the surprise, or just drop another clue.

Whatever the reason, don't expect PageRank to update any time soon, now that Google has drawn your focus away from it. I don't expect to see the next PageRank update until late October at this point. Late October brings us to the Holiday's again, and maybe Google will wait until after the New Year to release the next PageRank toolbar update. They have been known to go as many as six months without releasing the next Toolbar PageRank update.

It is thought that Google may release an operating system to compete with Microsoft. They are the two largest software tech companies around. This could be good and bad for the economy. While it creates competition, it is internal competition. You see, we are fighting for our own dollars, here in the United States. We are not trying to fight with China businesses, who manufacture everything, we are not trying to compete with India's technology market. Competition, while good, still can be bad in the larger picture. Moving along....

Stay tuned......... More to come as more sightings are discovered..............

September 21, 2009 The Mystery Is Solved

h. g. wells google crop circles doodles ufos

H.G. Welles' birthday was today. Google's latest doodle was released today. Their Twitter account tweeted once again, revealing that all the unexplained phenomenons were leading up to today.

Their blog released the statement, "Inspiration for innovation in technology and design can come from lots of places; we wanted to celebrate H.G. Wells as an author who encouraged fantastical thinking about what is possible, on this planet and beyond. And maybe have some fun while we were doing it. The invasion of the logo by alien crafts and pods makes our series complete, but you'll have to read the book to find out how Wells' story really ends."

This brings an end to all of the hype and suspense. A big let down for many Googlers, though it did generate a lot of buzz, and gave me a new topic to write about. Obviously, many were expecting something far greater than just a happy birthday shout out to H. G. Wells. Today's doodle takes you to a search for H. G. Wells. Now we can finally move on and hopefully Google won't wait too long to release that next toolbar PageRank update.

There are still no Google birthday doodles as of yet. With less than ten days remaining in the month, it is probable that Google did not want to take any attention away from H. G. Welles. A Google birthday doodle may still be in the mix, only time will tell.

Google's Birthday Doodle Your Name

Google's 11th birthday doodle finally appears on the homepage. Creatively they used two l's in their name to reflect their 11th birthday. Now the month of September is finally over and we can move on with life. Hopefully this means that we can expect the toolbar PageRank to update sometime in October.
